Little Joe Tower, in Corning, NY facilitated the production of thermometer tubing by using a “vertical draw” process. Hot glass was pulled by cable 196 feet to the top, creating a continuous tube. It was then cooled and cut to length.

JFK Hangar 17, where selected remnants of World Trade Center debris are being stored until a permanent memorial is built. The hangar house fire trucks, bikes, building structure, subway cars and other pieces. Debris is also visible outside the Hangar in the lower left.
